Jocelyn Silverlight is an east coast union president turned desert dwelling artist. Since November, she has been volunteering and living in Joshua Tree National Park, living off grid & out of reception in a 1976 Airstream Argosy with her two cats, EE & LaLa. She is passionate about photographing friends, strangers, familiar and strange landscapes. She is currently working on abstract acrylic paintings inspired by the moon-like Joshua Tree desertscape. Silverlight has been passionate about animals and human rights and seeks to further build connections between nature and activism. Silverlight holds her masters degree in Social Justice Education and is working towards a second masters in Labor.
